Mrs. Cowan’s sixth and seventh grade reading classes read the book Gone With the Wand and created life-size fairy godmothers and godfathers. Students identified characteristics that they found important and made their fairies come to life in their original narratives and social media pages. School faculty voted on their favorite projects.

After reading The Junkyard Wonders, Mrs. Cowan's seventh grade reading classes transformed "junk" from home into a "wonder" and presented a Google Slide Show showing the making of their invention.
