Weekly Coronavirus Updates

As of March 2, there were 424,999 confirmed cases of the Covid-19 virus in the state, up by 111 in the last 24 hours according to the Oklahoma State Department of Health. There were 56 deaths reported in the last day. This brings the death toll to 4,534.

In Blaine County, according to emergency management officials, there are 36 active cases.

There are 10 cases in Canton; one case in Geary; three cases in Longdale; two cases in Okeene, zero in Hitchcock and 16 in Watonga. The cases are noted by zip code, so those ill may not live inside the city limits, just in the vicinity.

There are 28,664,481 cases cumulative reported nationally, up 58,812 since the last numbers were released by Johns Hopkins University. There have been 514,657 deaths in the United States, up 1,566 since last report.
