The Watonga Police Department made an arrest Sept. 21 on felony warrants.

The events began when the department had contact with a juvenile about Sept. 16. That person told officers Levi Baker had traded him for an illegal weapon.

The department served a no-knock warrant at 3 a.m. Sept. 17 at the home of Levi Baker, 410 W. First Street. Baker was not at the residence at the time, although his roommate, roommate’s girlfriend and a child were in the home. At that time a Mossberg shotgun that had been cut off to an illegal barrel length was recovered. No drugs were discovered in the home.

About 9 p.m. Sept. 21 deputy chief Jonathan DeJesus spotted Baker riding a bicycle on East Main Street and apprehended him. At the time of his arrest, Baker had two outstanding felony warrants. He now faces additional charges of possession of an unlawful firearm, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of stolen property, as the shotgun was stolen, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, distribution of a controlled dangerous substance and knowingly receiving or possessing stolen property.

Baker remains in custody at the Blaine County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
