The deadline to apply for the 2026 Wildlife Youth Camp is April 23.
Wildlife Youth Camp is a week full of fun outdoor activities, conservation education and camaraderie for up to three dozen lucky teens age 1416 selected for the camp hosted by the Oklahoma State Game Warden Association and supported by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation.
The in-residence camp will be June 14-19 at Goddard Youth Camp at Lake of the Arbuckles and gives campers a look at careers in wildlife conservation. Activities are adult-supervised and include archery, wildlife identification, rifle/shotgun shooting, fishing, ropes course, self-defense, wildlife law enforcement scenarios, wildlife and fisheries management education, and deer/ turkey/ waterfowl law enforcement techniques.
This five-day camp is free for those whose applications are competitively judged and selected to attend!
Applicants must be Oklahoma residents who will be 14 to 16 years old on June 14, and who were enrolled in an Oklahoma school the previous year. Prospective campers must fill out an application form and write a 75-word essay describing why they want to attend the camp, why they should be selected, and what they expect to learn. Also, they must furnish a letter of recommendation from someone other than a family member, and a recent photo showing the applicant participating in an outdoor- related event or activity.
Oklahoma youth are encouraged to apply for the Wildlife Youth Camp, a full week of outdoor fun. The camp will take place June 1419 at Goddard Youth Camp. Applicants must be Oklahoma residents, between 14 and 16 years old and enrolled in school. There is no fee for the camp, but applications close soon.
