Youth & Family Services, Inc is proud to announce the expansion of its facilities, a pivotal step towards increasing its ability to serve the community. This addition comes as a response to the growing demand for after school programs, community events and increased summer camps. It aims to further its mission of empowering youth and families by providing care and fostering hope to create brighter futures, while working to mend broken cycles within the community.
The newly expanded facility, located in El Reno at 7565 E Hwy 66, features an art therapy room, a teaching kitchen, a half-court gym and three additional classrooms. It will also include two pickle ball courts to encourage healthy and fun living.
“Here at YFS, we take our role as a communitybased children’s charity very seriously. We could not be more excited to be able to enhance our programing to better meet the needs of those who are counting on us,’ said John Schneider, executive director for YFS. “For years, we have been able to connect with children through our partnerships with over 10 different school districts. Through those amazing partnerships, we can provide prevention services and crisis intervention to children, youth, and their family. Our goal is to be able to provide a fun, healthy, and safe environment for the community we serve.”
“I cannot express how grateful I am to the community for their support of our mission over the past 50 years. We would not be able to dream big and think outside of the box without our community’s support. We have secured $ 3.1 million for what we believe will be about a $ 3.6-millionproject, so we are very close to reaching our goal. We are confident that with the help of our community, that this dream will be a reality for those who are counting on us.”
