The autopsy of deceased Greenfield toddler Zavien Kinyon showed the 2-year-old died of blunt force trauma to the head. The state medical examiner originally ruled that the trauma was caused accidentally, but later said the cause was “undetermined” because there is “a real possibility that a non-accidental event did occur.”
Zavien’s babysitters have insisted that the boy sustained his injuries by falling from a bunk bed, according to Zavien’s family and to paperwork prepared by responding EMTs that day. The family believes the fatal injury is the result of abuse.
