Bill Legalizes Foraging on State Lands

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Mary Boren, DNorman, won unanimous Senate support for Senate Bill 447 to allow foraging for nuts, edible plants and fungi on state-owned or state-managed property. Boren said she didn’t even know it was against the law until a family member brought the situation to light.

Germans From Russia Event Set

On Saturday, April 26th, the Central Oklahoma Chapter of the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia will be hosting a Founders’ Day Celebration at Our Lord’s Lu-theran Church, 2900 W. Hefner Rd. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., with a covered dish lunch at noon.
