Cat Rescue Receives Generous Donation

The Oklahoma Bed and Breakfast Association has selected several non-profit charities to receive a monetary donation including the Watonga Community Cat Foundation as nominated by the Noble House B&B.The cat charity received $1,700.

Council Member Ditches Meeting Again

Watonga City Council was unable to attain a quorum again Tuesday evening. In the face of the absence of council member Tina Willis, the other two council members were unable to conduct business. In order to ensure timely payment of bills and payroll, three special meetings were called.

At approximately 5:30 a.m. Nov. 18, there was a brief tornado touchdown in Watonga.Storm sirens were sounded, and an emergency text message was sent out. By daylight, city staff was out surveying the damage and restoring power.
