Seventh grade students at Watonga Middle School took part Tuesday in a mock election. Each student would approach the ‘poll workers’ and show their ID. Then they were given a mock ballot and sent to the voting booths. Along the way they were coached about the rules, such as not talking about who they were going to or had voted for inside the polling place.

In one of the largest turnouts in recent election cycles, Donald Trump has been returned to the White House.In Oklahoma, Trump took 66.2% and 1,035,217 actual votes compared to sitting Vice President Kamala Harris’ 31.9% or 499,043.

Watonga Runners, Hydro FFA Win Championship Competitions

Watonga Cross Country runners brought home gold from the state championship meet. Reese Coleman and Brayden Cowan each won the gold in individual competition, and Graycie Welton took all state honors with a ninth place finish. The Lady Eagles won third place as a team.
