Myers Wins Smalley Memorial Scholarship

Brianna Myers of Calumet, has been named the Bud and Wanda Smalley Memorial Scholar at Southwestern Oklahoma State University for the 20242025 academic year.Myers is a Junior at SWOSU majoring in accounting.

Rape Charges Brought in 2019 Case

According to court documents, Rickey Dale Chandler of Longdale is facing felony charges of first-degree rape stemming from a November 2019 incident.The probable cause affidavit shows that Chandler, 52 at the time, met with the victim and her boyfriend at a local bar.

Lewd Acts Charged

According to court documents, Warren Rice was arrested July 15 and charged with lewd and lascivious acts involving a minor and stalking.The documents show the alleged incidents occurred when the victim was eight years old; the child is now 15.
