Former Eagles Meet, Greet and Eat

Watonga Former Students Association had its Meet and Greet and Banquet on May 25 at the Watonga High School Commons. We had a great group attending both groups. Leroy Richardson’s Richardsons Roller provided a delicious meal for the banquet. Kyle Hilterbran was our guest speaker.

Greenfield Alumni Yard Sale

Although the citywide garage sale has passed, the Greenfield Alumni Association is jumping on the bandwagon. That group will hold its sale from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on June 7 and from 8-noon on June 8 at the Memories of Greenfield building on Russworm Avenue between Wheeler Bros. and the Watonga Motel.

Softball Tries My Patience

Don't get me wrong. I like softball as well as the next Nana. Just not when it interferes with EVERYTHING. (I'm referring to college ball.) We got hooked on softball when our granddaughters started playing before they even started school.

Hi, everybody! I hope you are all doing well. It was another busy week for John and me. This week will not be much better. Thursday is also my birthday, No. 81.So, I may not have a column next week.There was not much going on at the center last week, just quilting, exercise and the usual.

OSU Student Farm Fills Food Bank Shelves

The Oklahoma State University Student Farm is in its second year of operation and has harvested over 7,000 pounds of cool-season crops in 2024.

The new and improved playground at Hillcrest Park was dedicated May 23 during a community coffee at the park. The equipment was purchased by the city to rejuvenate the facility, which had fallen on hard times and was not user friendly.
