BLAINE COUNTY — The Blaine County 4-H Public Speaking Contest was held January 23, 2022. 4-H Members presented presentations on a wide variety of topics. 4-H members could do a speech, an illustrated speech, a team illustrated presentation or a power point presentation. Clover buds, ages 5-7, had the opportunity to recite the Pledge of Allegiance or the 4- H pledge.

Hello Readers! It’s a new year and a chance to start over, a chance to make change and be a positive reflection that shines on the community. So much can be said about the last 2 years of “What just happened?” We’ve gone through some very difficult times for sure, and lost many people to this change.

Mother Nature has finally decided to stop roller-coasting the weather and stick to one season–Winter. After weeks of 70-degree days followed by 30 degree days, she has picked freezing your tuchas off as the weather for the rest of the month, according to our weather teen and my handy dandy weather app. I don't need an app to tell me how cold it is. My chattering teeth will do the job.
