On June 19, we have a new national holiday, Juneteenth. It has been celebrated locally for over a century, Juneteenth was officially signed into law as a U.S. federal holiday on June 17, 2021. It commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americas.

Matli, Hicks, Campos Unseated

In the Oklahoma Primary election, Tracy Matli was defeated in his bid to retain his seat as Blaine County Commissioner District #3 with 280 votes as compared to challenger Thad Shenk’s 354.In Blaine County District #1, incumbent Darryl Hicks was unseated by challenger Chad Scheihing.
