Hello Readers, When was the last time you visited the library? October has been a very busy month so far, and we have new activities at the library. We were blessed with a donation from the Carla Burns family for our Children’s Center.

I'm Not Cut Out for High Finance

I'm just not cut out for taking care of anything that has to do with money (like paying bills) except for spending it. Just kidding. I hate shopping with the exception of certain things at my favorite online shopping site. Then I'm a Rock Star. LOL.

Hi, everybody! I hope you’ve all had a good week. Wasn’t the rain wonderful on Saturday night? Now the forecast is for a frost or freeze for Wednesday night. That will about take care of the flowers and gardens, but you can bring in the pumpkins and chrysanthemums in your fall decorations.

I’m sorry the T. B. Ferguson Home Museum hasn’t been open this week or that I didn’t write a feature last week, but since the museum hasn’t been open, I can’t report on visitors. I do know some were disappointed during the Watonga Cheese Festival that it wasn’t open.

When the Blaine County Commission met Monday in regular session, it was in front of a full house. The commissioners moved rapidly through the agenda until reaching item four, a proposal from the libraries in Blaine County to implement the Dolly Parton Imagination Library at its facilities.

Runway Clear for Use at Watonga

The Watonga City Council, meeting as the Watonga Public Works Authority, agreed Tuesday to approve payment to Ellsworth Construction for a segment of the runway project at the airport. This is the fourth payment to Ellsworth and was for $330,509 and change.

Car Strikes Tractor, Killing One

A Hydro woman was involved in a fatal crash in Washita County Tuesday. According to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Alexis Murray, 32, of Hydro, was westbound on Oklahoma 152 traveling at a high rate of speed.
