Local Man Injured in Oilfield Explosion

OKLAHOMA CITY – A local man is recovering in an Oklahoma City hospital after an oilfield explosion near Fay left him severely burned. Rowdy Blankenship, whose family operates Watonga’s Garden Spot Market and the Brody Gene Sims Memorial Benefit, was injured in the explosion last Thursday, Jan.

We have made the difficult decision to not have the Trout Derby this year! Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation is still working on the repairs on Lake Watonga’s dam. There was a break in work on the dam for a while due to complications in the repair plans.
