WATONGA – A northwest Watonga neighborhood got an unexpected awakening early Friday morning when a fire ripped through a house in the middle of the block, gutting the structure and threatening others nearby.
Crews recently completed repaving the intersection of A Street and Moreland Avenue in Watonga and were congratulated by Mayor Bill Seitter during last week's City Council meeting.

Watonga Receives Grant for Sewer Line Project

WATONGA – The Watonga City Council last week accepted a grant for sewer line improvements near the intersection of Clarence Nash and Russworm. The Community Block Development Grant will cover about $345,000 of the project costs, which are estimated at about $400,000 total.
