Watonga Grads Earn UCO Scholarships

The University of Central Oklahoma recently awarded the Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarship to Watonga High School graduates Lavender Cisneros and Eden Waggoner in recognition of their demonstrated talent and distinguished achievement in leadership, citizenship, service and communication.

Voters in Blaine County went to the polls June 30 to decide a number of measures. They included statewide votes on the Democratic ticket for the U.S. Senate. In Blaine County, Abby Broyles won with 47.29% of the votes, followed by Elysabeth Britt with 20.09%; R.O. Joe Cassity, Jr. with 19.

As of the June 23 Oklahoma State Department of Health update, there are 11,028 cases of Covid-19 in Oklahoma, 14 in Blaine County. The statewide figure is up 295 from the June 22. There have been 371 deaths statewide, with two reported in the past 24 hours.
