Gas Prices Continue to Rise acrosss Oklahoma

Oklahoma gas prices have risen 5.3 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $1.78/g today, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 2,294 stations. Gas prices in Oklahoma are 29.1 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 61.1 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.

Johnson Will Take on Winner of Primary

Brian Johnson is a Democratic candidate for the Blaine County Sheriff’s office. That election will be held in November between Johnson and the winner of the June 30 election. Johnson is a lifelong resident of Watonga and a 2004 graduate of Watonga High School.

When the Oklahoma State Department of Health issued the statistics on the Covid-19 virus on June 16, it noted 8,745 cases of the illness in the state. That is up 228 cases from the last report. Recoveries are at 6,765.

Stay Wildfire-Ready

The weather in Northwest Oklahoma make it prime country for fires, whether they are grass fires, structure fires or wildfires. On June 14 there was a wildfire near Ames. It engulfed 650 acres and was fought by fire departments from four counties, Blaine, Major, Garfield and Kingfisher.
