Doors Creak Open on Businesses Statewide Even as the state prepares for easing into reopening, cases of the Covid-19 virus continue to rise. As of 11 a.m. April 28, there were 130 additional cases reported, bringing the Oklahoma count to 3,410 cases.

Blaine County Clerk Jennifer Haigler on April 27 made clear the county database has not been hacked. The rumor came to be, she said, when a county received notice an employee had been approved for unemployment benefits. It is standard procedure to contact the employer before releasing benefits.

City Hall, Library to Reopen May 4

With the easing of restrictions on group gatherings on the horizon, Watonga is ready to begin allowing access to its buildings as well. According to City Manager Larry Mitchell, the city will unlock doors at City Hall and the Watonga City Library on Monday, May 4.

April 29 Update on Covid 19

When the Oklahoma State Department of Health released its daily report April 29, that report showed 3,473 cases of the Covid-19 virus in the state and seven more deaths. Three of those deaths were in the past 24 hours; others were between April 16-26. This brings the state’s death toll to 214.

Covid 19 Update for April 24

As of 11 a.m. April 24 there are 3,121 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in Oklahoma. Nine deaths were reported since the last update; three occurred in the last 24 hours, the remainder were between April 17-22. One death was in Caddo County, a woman aged 65 or older.
