As of March 31, there are 565 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in Oklahoma. There have been six more deaths, three in Oklahoma County and one each in Canadian, Muskogee and Wagoner counties, bringing the total deaths statewide to 23.

Gas Prices Continue to Drop Amid COVID-19 Outbreaks

Oklahoma gas prices have fallen 15.2 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $1.56/g today, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 2,294 stations. Gas prices in Oklahoma are 58.5 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 87.9 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.

Hinton Easter Egg Hunt Cancelled

Because of the Covid-19 virus, the Hinton Kiwanis Club board members have met and under the circumstances, have made the difficult decision to cancel the annual Hinton Kiwanis Club Easter Egg Hunt.

Area Schools Hold Teacher Parades to Lift Spirits

Teachers and students from Hinton (Above) Schools and daycares took to the streets of the town March 26 to give each other messages of love and support from a safe distance. March 31 at Geary, (below) the same type of parade took place.

Date, Times Set for Pickup of Personal Items

Because students left school for spring break expecting to return in a week, many of them still have items at school. For Hinton students in grades 8-12 in that situation, they may go to the school between 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday to claim those personal possessions.
