The 48th annual Watonga Cheese Festival is set to hit the streets this weekend, but there is added excitement from the inclusion of the Plains Collective Arts Festival.The fun starts even before the ceremonial cutting of the cheese.

The Geary School Board met Monday evening in regular session. One of the first items on the agenda was dealing with the resignation of Kendra Houston from the board.The seat will be filled by appointment temporarily, until the next school board election is held in February.
