Despite the wet weather in early June, the wheat harvest is well underway and nearing completion in Oklahoma as July nears.According to the Oklahoma Wheat Commission the weather kept harvest crews out of the fields until after Memorial Day and into the next week.

Loyal Crash Claims Meeker Man

According to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a Meeker man died Sunday in an accident five miles south of Loyal.The report shows Aaron Standlee, 42 was northbound on CR N2740. At the curve at E 770 Road, the 2001 Peterbilt failed to negotiate the turn and left the highway.
