State Passes 241,000 Cases

Death Toll Exceeds 2,200

As of December 15, there were 241,991 confirmed cases of the Covid-19 virus in the state, up by 2,224 in the last 24 hours according to the Oklahoma State Department of Health. There were 14 deaths reported in the last day. This brings the death toll to 2,086.

In Blaine County, according to emergency management officials, there are 79 active cases and have had two deaths reported in the last 24 hours.

There are 21 cases in Canton; 9 cases in Geary; 7 cases in Longdale; 5 cases in Okeene, one in Hitchcock and 33 in Watonga. The cases are noted by zip code, so those ill may not live inside the city limits, just in the vicinity.

There are 16,518,487 cases cumulative reported nationally, up 265,268 since the last numbers were released by Johns Hopkins University. There have been 300,479 deaths, up 1,311 since last report. Active cases in the U.S. tally at 9,818,477 up 162,508 while recoveries stand at 6,399,531, up 101,449 since the last report was made.
