Candidates for municipal office in seven Blaine County municipalities may file Declarations of Candidacy beginning at 8 a.m. Monday.
The filing period ends at 5 p.m. Feb. 3, said Brenda Rice, secretary of the County Election Board.
Declarations of Candidacy will be accepted at the County Election Board office for the indicated offices in Watonga and Geary:
Geary, four-year terms: council member in Wards 2 and 4.
Geary, two-year unexpired terms: council member in Ward 3, and clerktreasurer.
Watonga, four-year terms: council member in Wards 1 and 2.
Watonga, two-year terms: council member in Wards 3 and 4, and Council Member at large.
Other Blaine County municipalities facing elections include:
Canton, four-year terms: town treasurer, and two board of trustees.
Greenfield, four-year terms: board of trustees; two-year unexpired terms: town clerk/treasurer, and board of trustees.
Hitchcock, four-year terms: two board of trustees.
Longdale, four-year terms: town treasurer, and two board of trustees; twoyear unexpired terms: two board of trustees.
Okeene, four-year terms: two board of trustees.
The municipal offices at stake in Geary and Watonga will be filled in the nonpartisan election scheduled April 6.
