Residents of Geary living in the Canadian County precinct will go to the polls Tuesday for the March 2 Calumet School Special Bond Election.
Those wanting to get their vote in early can visit the County Election Board office from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
In-person voters can visit the New Life Assembly of God Church from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
Lines may form during peak voting hours and wait times will likely be shortest at mid-morning and midafternoon. If you are in line to vote when the polling place closes you are still allowed to cast a ballot.
You can visit the Oklahoma State Election Board’s website (www.elections.ok.gov) and use the Online Voter Tool to verify your registration information or to view a sample ballot. Proof of identity must be shown before you can receive your ballot.
The Calumet School bond proposal is for $2.5 million and would have a ‘NO Projected Tax Increase’ stipulation.
This money would go towards a new ag barn, air conditioning for the gymnasium, and a locker room addition at the hitting facility.
If you have moved since the last election and have yet to edit your voter registration with your new address, you may do so on Election Day by going to vote at the polling place where their registration has been in the past.
Measures have been put in place to assist you so that you may still vote if you are physically disabled or have become physically incapacitated.
For more information, you can contact the County Election Board office at 405- 422-2422.
