Lions Club Brisket Feed & Cake Auction Thursday

The annual Watonga Lions Club brisket dinner and cake/dessert auction will be held this Thursday, May 27, at 6 p.m. at the Blaine County Fairgrounds.

Featuring mouth-watering brisket and sumptuous desserts, this time-honored tradition features the work of excellent Blaine County cooks.

The brisket dinner is available by donation, said Alvin Woodruff, and all proceeds will go to benefit Watonga Main Street and the Lions Club scholarship program. In 2021, the Lions Club awarded $4,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors.

Those attending are welcome to donate in direct response to their level of consumption and enjoyment. The auction will begin at 6:30.

“We encourage people to come eat with us,” Woodruff said. “We’d love to have a good-sized crowd.”

More information is available at the Watonga Lions Club Facebook page. The dinner will be held at 801 N. Spiece Ave. in Watonga.
