Hi Everyone! I hope you’ve had a good week so far. We are all well at the center. I wanted to let you know that home health will be coming to the center on Friday, the 16th to check blood pressures and blood sugars. This time it will be ladies from Watonga. We appreciated the Clinton ladies coming but we’ve had several requests for the Watonga ladies to come again and they’ve agree to. They will be here from 10 to 12 to do testing. No appointment is necessary. Just come on in and there is no charge.
We had 28 people at the center on Saturday night for music and games. We always have a good time and the food and music is always good. The music is provided by Wayne Maddux and David Green. Each person or family brings a snack of some kind so we have lots of good things to eat. We will meet again on July 24th, so plan to come and join us. You don’t have to be a senior citizen to come.
Kathryn Diamond brought in best choice bar codes. Thank you Kathryn. We had some nice squash donated by Janet Edsall and another lady whose name I did not get. I am sorry about that. Several people at the center took some home to enjoy. I brought a nice zucchini home and made some zucchini bread. We have enjoyed it. And I think I have enough zucchini left to make another one. Joe and Teresa Bryan renewed their membership this week. Thank you Joe and Teresa.
We only had two people in to quilt this last week it was Gene Matli and Estalene Teply. They have made a lot of progress on the quilt they are working on. They have rolled it several times. I think it’s just been too hot for people to get out. I don’t unless I have to.
I want to thank all those who delivered meals on wheels last week. They are so appreciated it was Karen Duggar and Mary Brown, Brenda and Curt Stein, Pat Brewer, and Vernon Brickman. Vernon had a special helper on Friday. He brought one of his granddaughters to help him. Her name is Lucy Hubbard. Thanks for helping, Lucy!
Dorothy and Janie have some good meals planned for us for the next few days. Call us before 10a.m. for a meals on wheels delivery. Call before noon for meals to be picked up.
