Well, another week has passed. I hope all of you are well. Things are going good at the Center.
We had a great time on Saturday night at the sock hop. There was a lot of dancing and some even danced in their socks. We had about 45 people attend and all had a good time. Some wanted to know if we could “do this every week.” We were hoping for a better attendance but everyone said they enjoyed it. Dale Wehba was the DJ and he played a good variety of music. A lot of the folks never missed a dance. And if I understood it right the winners of the Twist contest were Shawnda Plummer and David Green. You missed a real fun evening if you weren’t there.
Last week Estalene Teply renewed her membership, and Ethel Patton was a new member. Thank you Estalene. We’re sure glad to have you, Ethel, as a new member. We hope you will enjoy spending time with us.
We received several donations last week. Several donated toward the expense of the sock hop. We really appreciated those donations. They were from Eloise Espy, Peggy Franks and Wayne Maddux, Estalene Teply, and John and Sharon Gates.
Fresh garden vegetables came from Maxine Straek and Janet and Chub Edsall. We’ve enjoyed those. Thanks for remembering us.
We had roofers here last week working on repairing our roof. They also repaired some leaks above our front awning. I hope they’ve done a good job. I guess we’ll find out the next time it rains.
Our Meals on Wheels carriers last week were Karen Dugger and Mary Brown (two days), Brenda and Curt Stein, Janice Hood, and Pat Brewer. Thank you for all your help.

I hope you all have a great week. Stay well and safe. Til next week…
