Hi everybody! I hope you’re all doing well today. I’m slowly improving but still have some problems. My old age is really catching up with me, I guess.
Not much happened at the center last week. Of course, there’s always exercise lessons, card playing on Friday and always a puzzle to help put together. There’s always coffee or iced tea and someone to visit with. You should stop by and check us out.
These folks delivered our meals on wheels last week. We’re sure thankful for them. It was Pat Brewer, Brenda and Curt Stein, Sharon Barnes, Janice Hood and Vernon Brickman. Thanks to all of you.
The donations received last week were from Eloise Espy, for a quilt that was finished for her, and Steve Poulson and Margie Smith donated cans. Joe and Teresa Bryan and Tammy Edsall made donations, too. Thank you all so much for thinking of us with your donations.
Carol McCrary and Delores Trumbley gave donations in memory of Charlotte Cowan. Thank you for these memorial gifts.
Friday, Nov. 11, will be Veterans Day. The American Legion is sponsoring a dinner at 6:30 p.m. in the Legion building in honor of all veterans. If you’re a veteran or wish to honor vets, bring a covered dish to share and join in the dinner.
Saturday, Nov. 12, the Masons will be serving pancakes and all the trimmings for breakfast at the senior center. It starts at 6 a.m. and serving will end at 10 a.m. It’s a good breakfast and you can visit with a lot of good folks.
Saturday night at 6 we’ll be meeting again for music and games. We’ll also be snacking about 7 o’clock so bring a snack or covered dish and join us.
Here is our menu for the next few days. Call us for a delivered meal before 10 a.m. or for one to go. We’ll have it ready for you whenever you want to pick it up.

I hope you are all doing well and that old Covid hasn’t slipped up on you. I guess it’s in the area again but I don’t think it’s as bad as it was originally. Anyway, take care and stay well. ‘Til next week …
