The Monday meeting of the Blaine County Commission was short and to the point.
With Commissioner Raymond Scheffler out of town, commissioners Brandon Schultz and Mike Allen moved through the agenda quickly. They approved blanket purchase orders, payroll and purchasing claims, essentially paying the bills for the county.
They also approved new employees for the county tax assessor’s office, hiring Caitlin Garrett as full-time deputy assessor and Erin Scheihing as a part time field deputy until Jan. 3, when she will move to full time field deputy.
The commission recognized requisitioning officers for the drug court and mental health court. Those officers are judge Allison Lafferty and Sarah Hoffman.
There were also two road crossings approved, one a renewal and one new, both in District #1.
The commission will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday of next week, pushed back one day to accommodate the Christmas courthouse closure on Monday, Dec. 26.
