SENIOR CENTER NEWS

EWS

Hi, everybody! I hope you are all doing well. I’ve not heard about a lot of Covid or flu, but I am sure it is out there.

This Friday, Jan. 20, the ladies will be coming to check blood pressures and blood sugars. They’ll come in around 10:30 and stay about an hour. If you need yours checked come in and they’ll check you out. There’s no charge and no appointment needed. You don’t have to be a member of the Senior Citizens. They will check anyone who comes in.

The folks who delivered our meals on wheels last week were our regulars, Pat, Sharon, Brenda and Curt, Janice and Vernon. WE are so thankful for these folks. God Bless them all.

Saturday night we met with 27 people coming in to share the fun and food. We had a good time and lots of good food. You should come and join us when we meet again at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28. Just bring a snack to share.

Eloise Espy renewed her membership last week. We’re glad to have Eloise as part of our group.

We received a donation from Yvonne Christiansen in memory of several people who have passed on recently. Jean Ann Reyburn, Clydene Heffel, Earl Underwood and Beth Massey’s son, Michael. We appreciate this gift from Yvonne.

This is our menu for the next few days. Come in and join us for lunch. WE eat around 11:30 except for Wednesdays when Kiwanis meets at noon, and then we eat at 11 a.m. On Thursday mornings we have biscuits and gravy, ready at 8 a.m. We just as for a donation for this food.

If you need a meal delivered, call us before 10 a.m. If you need one or more to go, call us before noon. We’ll get it ready for you to pick up. We may be reached at 6234511.
