Caddo County Retired Educator News

The Caddo County Retired educators held their monthly meeting, Monday, Feb. 13 at Caddo Kiowa CTC. There were 17 members present along with one guest. Karen Mason delivered the monthly devotion to the group. Christi Smith read the minutes from the last meeting and Harvey Mead reported on the house bills being introduced this session and the process they go through before becoming a law. Some of these bills could have a direct effect on retirees and future retirees of public education. The group, led by Sandy Saunders, was given an interesting tour of the HV-AC department and the PT Department that students of Caddo Kiowa Career Tech Center have available to them if that is a career path they have chosen to pursue. The group enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared by CKCTC food service department. The next meeting for the Caddo County Retired educators will be a week earlier than normal because of spring break for CKCTC. The date for the next meeting is Monday, March 6, weather permitting. Meetings are generally held beginning at 10:30 a.m. on the second Monday of each month in building 400, Room 440. The March meeting will be sharing of local members’ talents. All retired educators in the area are encouraged to attend.
