Library News

Hello Readers, March is coming on quickly and that means spring is just around the corner along with planting season. The library has a good selection of books on gardening for beginners and for seasoned professionals. Did you know March is the prime time to plant potatoes and that there’s a tradition among the Irish folks that explains why this is believed? How about St. Patrick’s Day, and its traditions and beginnings?

The answers are at the library, along with the clues to the St. Patrick’s scavenger hunt. The scavenger hunt begins on Wednesday, March 1 and ends March 17. Kids of all ages can participate to win a prize from the treasure chest and there will be coloring pages you can pick up to win an art prize. Head to the front desk for clues during open hours and the answers to the clues are in the library.
