The first 2023 meeting of the Central Oklahoma Chapter of the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia will be held at 10 a.m. March 25 at Our Lord’s Lutheran Church, 2900 W. Hefner Road in Oklahoma City.
Come join AHSGR for ‘kaffee and kuchen’ and hear a genealogy presentation on the FamilySearch website presented by the director of the FamilySearch Center of Oklahoma City, Sherrie Furber. Germans from Russia were one of the largest groups of early settlers in western Oklahoma, Oklahoma and Texas panhandles, eastern Colorado and Kansas. We are striving to preserve our heritage by celebrating all aspects of that heritage.
