Geary Crash Kills One

A rollover accident Friday south of Geary claimed the life of an Oklahoma City man.

According to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Michael Sterbach, 59, was eastbound on I-40 in Canadian County, about 7 miles south of Geary when his 2008 Toyota left the roadway for an unknown reason. It then rolled more than three times, coming to rest on its passenger side.

Sterbach was pinned for about an hour, the report shows, before he was extricated. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. His condition and the cause of the crash remain under investigation.
