Hydro Crash Injures Two

According to to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, it was about 3:15 in the afternoon when John Wyatt, 70, of Hydro was northbound on Oklahoma 58 on a Case-IH tractor.

Seven miles outside Eakly, the equipment the tractor was pulling was struck from behind by a 2023 Hyundai driven by Glen Edwards, 75, of Fort Cobb. He was taken by ambulance to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where he was admitted in stable condition.

His passenger, Jeremy Edwards, 73, was taken to the same facility via air ambulance where he was also admitted in stable condition. He was pinned in the collision and had to be extracted by Hydro Fire Department.

According to the report, the driver was in a normal condition at the time of the collision but was distracted by the navigation system in the vehicle. Both the driver and the passenger in the car were wearing their seat belts.
