SENIOR CENTER NEWS

Hi, everybody! It’s been a great week for me, I hope it was for you, too.

I’m looking forward to next Friday and the chicken noodle dinner. I love my chicken and noodles, so I’ve already got my order placed for two cups to go. I hope you are planning to attend. It is really good and they will be serving from 5-7 p.m. Somewhere in there will be the cake auction. The Masons have agreed to help with the dinner. That is such a blessing. This is our main fundraiser for the year and we really need your help. If you can supply a cake for the auction, it would sure be appreciated. If you can help with the dinner, please let the senior center know.

There’s a beautiful new quilt hanging at the center. I believe it belongs to Janice Hood. Lots of little pieces and it must have taken quite a while to put together. Come by to see it, it is really beautiful.

All those taking home a cake from the Friday night dinner might need to work off a few pounds later. That’s when you need to come check out our exercise classes. They are held at 9 a.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. It’s not hard, a really easy workout. But you’ll know you’ve been exercising after a day or two of classes!

Saturday April 13 we’ll meet starting at 6 p.m. for games and music. Please bring a dish or snack to share with everyone. David and Tom will share their music with us. There will be pool and other games to play and there is always a puzzle to work on. Come and share the fun, you don’t have to be a member of the senior citizens to take part.

I guess Judy Curtin was the only one who worked on the quilt last week. Maybe others will come this week. They meet beginning about 9 a.m. on Thursdays and finish up before noon.

Margie Smith brought in Best Choice labels last week. Thank you, Margie, it all helps.

Patty Clift renewed her membership. We are very glad to have you with us, Patty. She directs exercise class one day a week.

Last week Sharon Barnes delivered meals two days. Brenda Stein, Janice Hood and Vernon Brickman delivered the other days. Here’s our menu for the next few days. If you need a meal prepared to go, call us before 12:30 p.m. If you need a meal delivered, please call before 10 a.m.
