The Blaine County Sheriff’s Office has announced that during a traffic stop the morning of June 21, the deputy developed sufficient cause to request a K9 search. K9 officer Neo alerted on the vehicle’s trunk, which contained a safe, bolted to the vehicle’s frame.
Deputies were able to gain access to the safe which contained approximately two pounds of methamphetamine.
The driver was arrested and charged with aggravated trafficking of methamphetamine. It is believed the drugs were being taken to Woodward.
Although it was not noted in the announcement, Jessie Kenneth Alger of Woodward was booked into the Blaine County Jail that same day on charges of aggravated trafficking of illegal drugs and possession of counterfeit coin with the intention to circulate the same. Alger is the only individual booked into the jail on that date with those charges.
These are only charges and do not indicate conviction or guilt.
