Four office holders, either re-elected or newly elected, were sworn in Jan. 2 at the Blaine County Courthouse.
Christy Matli, Blaine County Court Clerk, Brandon Schultz, Blaine County Commission District # 2 (Okeene), and Blaine County Sheriff Travis Daugherty were each re-elected. Matli and Schultz were unopposed while Daugherty faced former sheriff Tony Almaguer.
Heather Spangler-Sawyer is the new Blaine County Clerk, elected in a June runoff.
Matli has been court clerk for 10 years. Schultz has been a commissioner eight years and Daugherty is beginning his second term.
The county commission meets at 9 a.m. each Monday save holidays in the Blaine County Courthouse on Weigle Avenue. The meetings are open to the public.
