On March 5 the Watonga High School band traveled to Alva to compete in a district band contest. The kids played very well and received an excellent rating (II) on stage, and a superior rating (I) in sight reading.
They were just shy of qualifying for state contest, but the kids played their hearts out and we’re very proud of them.

Here’s how they did: Maya O’Dell (solo): I; Addison Lovitt (solo): I; Maya and Addison (duet): I; Rita Clewell: I; Kenzie Lamle: II; Morgan Wear: II; Percussion Ensemble (Danni, Morgan, Woody, Brandon, Dominick, and Brystal: I The students and ensembles that received ones will be representing our school at the state contest in a few weeks.
