According to a press release from the City of Watonga. Police were called to the 800 block of Villa Drive in the early morning hours of April 4. On the scene an unresponsive individual was found in the home. The resident, later identified as Wendell Rednose, was pronounced deceased.
Cameron Jamar Carter has been taken into custody and charged with second degree murder. He remains in jail on a $1 million bond.
Watonga Police Chief Beth Massey said the investigation is ongoing and they are waiting on test results from the Oklahoma State Department of Investigation, who was called in to help process the crime scene, and other forensic evidence.
