58th Annual Walleye Rodeo in the Books

Winners of the Kid’s Derby (12 and under) of the 58th annual Walleye Rodeo are as follows: Asher Brasch, 10th place with a 3.59 pound carp; Dylan Heibert ninth place with a 4.27 pound channel cat; Meelo Cruz in eighth place with a 4.58 pound carp; Braxton Gentry in seventh place with a 4.78 pound carp; Isabella Albisten in sixth place with a 5.18 pound carp; Evalie Nease in fifth place with a 5.57 pound carp; Faith Boone in fourth place with a 5.86 pound carp; Grace Boone in third place with a 6.45 pound carp; Brance Nease in second place with a 6.7 pound carp; Caleb Boone in first place with a 10.78 pound carp.

Bobby Galligher of Enid had the largest blue cat at 25.10 pounds; Larry Davidson of Yukon had the largest drum at 10.46 pounds.

Mike Skinner of McCloud had the biggest buffalo at 33.97 pounds; Crystal Axelson of Hennessey had the largest carp at 12.09 pounds.

Rory Littleraven of Geary had the biggest sunfish weighing in at .99 pound; Ridge Haynes of Newcastle brought in the biggest flathead weighing 19.38 pounds.

The largest white bass weighed 2.16 pounds and was landed by Mitchel Clyden of Woodward while Jarrett Sinclair had the largest channel cat at 15.77 pounds.

Keith Houston of Lahoma had the largest crappie at 1.63 pounds and Melanie Adams of DeWitt, Ark., brought in the largest black bass at 3.68 pounds.

The largest hybrid was caught by Tom Evans of Canton.

The highest weight of walleye was by Jan Mason of Belle Plain, Kan., with 44.14 pounds. He won $500 sponsored by Hoskins Enterprises.

Jim Moore of Woodward had the fifth largest walleye at 3.63 pounds and for that fish won $200 courtesy of AAA Insurance/Cody Link.

The fourth largest walleye was brought in by James Hromas of Waukomis, weighing 3.99 pounds. He won $350 from Community State Bank of Canton.

Larry Davidson of Yukon appears on this list, too, with the third largest walleye, at 4.3 pounds. It won him $500 sponsored by the Overlook.

The runner-up largest walleye came from Jessica Forsyth of Broken Arrow. It weighed 4.59 pounds and came with $750 from Lucky Star Casino Concho, Clinton, Canton, Watonga and the Concho and Hammon Travel Centers.

The winner of the biggest walleye contest was Dustin Fenimore of Mannford. It netted him $1,000 sponsored by Lucky Star Casino Concho, Clinton, Canton, Watonga and the Concho and Hammon Travel Centers. Fenimore also won a rod and reel from the Canton Lake Walleye Rodeo and a free fish mount from Xact Taxidermy.

There were also drawings, prizes for tagged fish, food, fun and tshirts.
