According to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a Meeker man died Sunday in an accident five miles south of Loyal.
The report shows Aaron Standlee, 42 was northbound on CR N2740. At the curve at E 770 Road, the 2001 Peterbilt failed to negotiate the turn and left the highway. It overcorrected, causing it to roll one complete time. The trailer disconnected from the truck, which rolled an additional quarter of a time, landing on the passenger side. The driver was partially ejected.
The road was clear and dry at the time of the accident. Standlee was not wearing a seatbelt. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by Kingfisher EMS.
