The Central Oklahoma Chapter of AHSGR will host the annual All-State Conference. This event will be held on August 16 at Our Lord’s Lutheran Church, 2900 W Hefner Rd. Speakers will be Brandon Barton of Weatherford, speaking on “Ukraine Today,” Chris Kelln of Shattuck, speaking on “Shattuck FFA Keeping German Heritage Alive,” and Brent Mai of Wichita, Kansas, speaking on “Returning to the Heimat.”
The emphasis throughout the day will be the connections between the generations in our families, our schools, our country and the world.
The activities start at 9 a.m. with registration, coffee and kuchen. So that people traveling will not need to bring food, there will be a catered lunch of an entree, three side dishes, bread, drink and dessert at a cost of $10. There will be musical entertainment and door prizes. Everyone is welcome; anyone bringing a new member will earn a year’s membership.
