The Blaine County Fair will get underway Thursday.
Residents and students may enter their non-livestock items from 4_6:30 p.m. that day at the Foley Building.
Friday morning nonlivestock entries are also accepted from 7:30- 10 a.m. except for pie baking contest entries. By 10 a.m. all entries other than pie baking and livestock must be in place. Judging begins at 11 a.m. and pie contest entries begin at noon. Cake entries that are to be donated to the cake auction should be labeled so at entry.
Livestock weigh in runs Friday from 4-6 p.m. Rabbit and poultry entries begin at 5:30 p.m. with judging at 6. Rabbits and poultry entries do not remain at the fairgrounds and may be taken home that evening.
The cake auction begins at 6 p.m. in the Foley Building.
All livestock must be in place by 7 p.m. and the buildings close at 9 p.m.
The swine show begins Saturday at 7:30 a.m. and the beef show commences half an hour after the end of the swine show. The goat show begins 30 minutes after the end of the beef show and the sheep are shown half an hour after the end of the goat show.
The tractor driving contest begins at 8 a.m. but contestants will be scheduled around their livestock show classes.
Exhibits and premiums may be picked up between 3 and 4 p.m.
