Cheese Festival Rodeo Results

Blaine County Round Up Club and Watonga Bikes & BBQ came together October 11 to put on a night full of laughter and fun .

Food trucks on site included K & L Southern BBQ (Kingfisher); Mad Hatter Grilled Cheese Co.; Los Morales & Perkins Mexican Food Truck & Snacks ( Erick); Scotty`s Treats and Sin Treats.

Vendors such as Fosters designs of Canton, LA Productions goat roping out of Texas, Bear Bow Salazar from Anadarko and Dina's Creations of Watonga brought out their goods.

Announcers were Boyd Howell from Broken Bow and John Morris of Watonga Bikes & BBQ.

Stock was provided by W6 Bucking Bulls owned by the Whiting Family from Cordell. W6 brought over the mini bulls, and stock for Walk Trot (ages 5 & under) , PeeWee (ages 6-8), Jr. Mini (ages 9-11) and Sr. Mini (ages 12-14).

Stock for novice (ages 15-18), open bulls , open broncs and ranch rodeo was by Bobby Cain out of Guthrie.

The night kicked off at 5 p.m. with the Biker Barrel Race that was fun to watch. Lynton Bierig was the winner.

The American Flag was carried Kaizli Whiting from Cordell.

Mutton busting was sponsored by Wichert Farms from Fairview.

Buckle and ranch rodeo breast collars were sponsored by Abstract & Guaranty, JS Farrier Service, Watonga Lanes, Cathey Construction, Heels & Spurs Salon, South Canadian Construction, Cox Water Well Service and Black Hearted Heelers.

Belt buckles were by Molly's Custom Silver and breast collars were by The Leather Shop.

Winner of the mutton busting was Twister Ayers from Fay, and Kutler Ivey from Hammon won the walktrot. In the peewee division, Steel Thomas from Custer City won, as did Gui Pollock of Hydro in the junior mini class.

Senior mini winners were Tigg Cunningham of Waynoka and Kolby Brown from Wellston.

Novice Bulls: Brandt Beaman of Hennessey won the novice bulls competition, but the bulls won the open bulls division, as no one covered a bull!

Holden Driggers from Glen Rose, Texas won the open bronc riding and the top ranch rodeo team was Yoder Cattle Co.

There were 40 entrants in the junior bulls, 12 in open bulls, 10 in open broncs and 11 ranch rodeo teams.
