The Blaine County Retired Educators/Employees held its regular meeting on Monday, Dec. 8 at the Noble House in Watonga.
There were 18 in attendance. This meeting was a holiday celebration to raise money for our annual honor of teachers and support personnel throughout the county this spring. The group enjoyed a delicious holiday turkey dinner prepared by the Noble House and then participated in a lively auction of donated items.
The last meeting was held in October where updates of area programs were presented to the 20 members in attendance. Dr. Dan Craig from Chisholm Trail Technology Center spoke on the different programs offered by CTTC for not only high school students but also for adult education courses.
Ally Fuqua, OSU Extension Educator, welcomed the opportunity to work with our group in any way. She said they were currently attempting to restart 4-H programs in several Blaine County schools. The Blaine County Retired Educators invite all retired educational personnel to join this active group.
Our next meeting will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, February 9 at the Noble House.
