1951~2022 Larry Clyde Jenkins Sr. or “Koolman” and of course “The Black Mayor”, was born June 21, 1951, in Watonga, Oklahoma, to L.C. Jenkins and Geraldine (Burton) Jenkins. He passed away on October 4, 2022, at the age of 71, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Tim Foley

1947~2022 Tim Foley, beloved husband and father, was born on February 16th, 1947, and passed away, October 8th, 2022. He was seventy-five. Born to Louise and Merril Foley, Tim graduated from Watonga High School and married his high school sweet-heart Carol Lynn Bates, in 1965. Together they were married 40 years, until her passing in 2005. Tim dedicated 42 years of service to Pioneer Telephone before retiring in 2007. He also enjoyed anything to do with farming and ranching, and he never found a casino he didn’t like! Tim’s generous spirit could be felt by all. He enjoyed volunteering yearly at the Watonga Community dinners.

Dale Green graduated from Hennessey High School in May of 1956 and married his high school sweetheart, Dolores Vaverka, a few days later on May 24, 1956, where they made their first home in Enid so Dale could begin his career in the meat market at Safeway.

James Robert Henke

1957~2022 James Robert Henke, 64, of Calumet, Oklahoma, passed away September 30, 2022 after a lengthy, hard-fought battle with Huntington's disease. He was born November 19,1957 to Herman George Henke, Jr. and Emma N. (Kauanui) Henke in Okarche, Oklahoma. He lived in California until his dad retired from the U.S. Navy in 1966 and they returned to Oklahoma, where James lived the remainder of his life in the Geary, El Reno and Calumet area. He graduated from Calumet High School in 1975, where he was known as 'the class clown'. He began working as a cook when he was 16 years old at the Cherokee Restaurant, where he worked for 40+ years and made many friends there. He was a very hard worker, supporting and providing for his family and extended families. If anyone needed anything, he would always find a way to provide it, never complaining. He loved his family with every fiber of his being.
