1939~2022 Marston Duane Yearwood was born February 1, 1939, south of Hydro, Oklahoma to Marion B. and Cleo (Hill) Yearwood. Duane grew up on the Ghost Mound Farm south of Hydro, Oklahoma, graduating from Hydro High School, during his senior year, he served in the FFA, serving in several positions. He attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University and Oklahoma State University where he participated in the ROTC programs. Duane returned to the farm in the Eakly community and has continued farming and ranching. He enjoyed hunting, loved Big Game Hunting and was on the Boone & Crockett Record Holder, Records of North America in 1973. He was published in the Colorado Outdoor Magazine with his picture, his buck and an article. Duane would contribute several articles to hunting magazines and would be published. Duane and Nina met at the Eakly Co Op in 1988 and dated and were engaged for 18 years before they were married in 2006 in Paradise Island, Bahamas. They enjoyed their cattle herd where most of their time was spent. They enjoyed traveling, hunting and going to the grandkids ballgames. He served on the Eakly Cemetery Board for many years, and a member of First Baptist Church in Eakly. He participated in the Eakly Rodeo, was a member of IPRA Association competing in team roping, was a member of the Gun Club where he enjoyed shooting. He enjoyed watching his kids and grandkids play sports and other activities.
