There were five visitors this past week. A couple and a lady on Wednesday, and two ladies on Thursday. Ashley found a Watonga Republican newspaper article dated April 18, 1968, concerning making the T.B. Ferguson home into a museum.

Entertaining Is Not My Forté

Let's face it–I am not now, nor have I ever been a social butterfly. My tendencies lean toward hermit when it comes to socializing but once a year, we have out-of-town friends who come to visit over the Fourth of July holiday.

It’s been a quiet week at the museum with no visitors. I guess it’s been too hot Ṫhe City of Watonga is going to have a celebration at the Huff Lorang Park on 4th of July. There will be games for the kids and hamburgers and hot dogs. Later that night there will be a fireworks display.

A Lamp to My Feet

Zechariah 5 contains 2 more visions: 5:1­4, The Vision of the Flying Scroll, and 5:5­11, The Vision of the Wicked Woman in a Basket. The flying scroll is a parchment or book. They did not have printed books like we have today This scroll contains a curse on each side. The front side, 5:1­2.

Hi everyone! What a beautiful day it was today (Sunday). A lot of wind but the temperature was much cooler than it has been. I hope the cooler temps last a few more days. I noticed the quilt was out of the frame when we went for Saturday night music and games. We had 27 come in for some fun.

I don't want to adult anymore. I don't want to adult anymore. I don't want to adult anymore. This has been my new mantra for the last few weeks. When you're a teenager and think you have all the answers I have a sad fact for you youngsters– you don't know anything.

Letter to the Editor

Vouchers: Not for all Kids! When we think about educational improvements made by the legislature, we would hope those improvements would be for all kids and not a select group of kids. This year, Senate Bill 1647 would have provided tax dollars for kids to attend private school.

Capitol Update

This week we have convened for both the second and third special sessions of the 58th Legislature. The second is to consider American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) appropriations and the third is to consider inflation relief.
